We thoroughly recommend a visit to the Cowdray Arms pub, just a 5 minute walk away either on the road or through the woods. They offer a delicious gastro pub menu and range of real ales, beer, wine and spirits, all at reasonable prices. Choose your cut of steak from the Steak House or maybe a curry, they even offer a value menu with meals from £4.99. They also offer a Sunday Roast, regular curry nights, Fizz Friday and a weekly pub quiz, come and join our team if you are feeling clever!

A 20 minute walk will take you into the village of Balcombe which offers a range of social and leisure activities. The Village Stores is well stocked with all the usual groceries as well as a range of local produce, cheeses, artisan bread and local game. If you are thirsty after your walk to the village, pop into the Half Moon, a community pub which we own as a village, and which offers a good menu using local produce. It is also worth a visit to the Balcombe Club, where you can enjoy a game of pool, darts, two full sized snooker tables, beer garden and large bar and seating area. The Club regularly hold entertainment including live bands, comedy nights and film nights held in the Victory Hall next door.

If you wanted to venture further afield hop on the train at Balcombe station and head to the next stop in Haywards Heath. Here you can enjoy a variety of shops and cafes as well as the popular Broadway with a range of bars and restaurants. There is also a direct service from Balcombe to London Bridge and London Victoria in just 43 minutes and Brighton in 23 minutes.
