BEAUTIFUL WEDDINGS IN A ROMANTIC WOODLAND SETTING

Our intimate wedding venue, situated at our award winning Glamping site within an ancient woodland, offers a beautiful setting for your wedding day and also includes two night’s Glamping accommodation for you and
your guests.

Wild Woodland weddings!

We are fully licensed for civil ceremonies either in our Honeysuckle Hall, a beautifully decorated rustic wooden structure with seating and Registrar table, or outside, in the woods, on Honeysuckle Lawn. We also have a stretch awning with picnic benches, and the venue looks breath-taking at night with festoon lighting throughout and strung between the trees.
We are the perfect festival wedding venue, small and intimate, and having the whole site to yourselves, you can do as little or as much as you would like. You can bring your own food and drink, do a BBQ and bring playlists for our music system. Or you can hire in food trucks, mobile bar, bands or a DJ. So, you can have a chilled wedding breakfast, enjoy the speeches, play games and listen to music into the night. As part of the package you can enjoy a second night’s Glamping too.

There are many beautiful and romantic photo opportunities to remember your magical day by. Sitting on our rose bench by the pretty waterfall, standing on our jetty overlooking the lake, wandering through the trees and ancient woodland to capture your most wonderful memories.

Our award-winning Glamping site offers two safari tents, each sleeping 6 people and the honeymoon suite, Owl Lodge, which can accommodate the newlyweds as well as two single beds for the little ones. Our safari tents and lodge are nestled in the woodland, with luxury furnishings, fully fitted kitchens and en-suite bathrooms. There are also inside and outside games, fire pits and BBQs, so you and your guests can enjoy a luxurious experience with all the rustic charm the woodland offers.

We would love for you to come and see the venue and meet us both, you can expect a very warm welcome and we can offer as little or as much advice for your big day, as you would like!

What the owners, John & Susie say…

“Our woodland is so beautiful, and we often have enquiries from guests asking if they could hold their wedding here. With wedding venues being increasingly expensive, some costing what would be a deposit on a property, we decided to look at the DIY wedding market, to be cost-effective but still a celebration of the bride and groom’s special day. This has proven extremely popular as a lot of couples do not want the big white wedding, our feedback, and bookings reflect that they want to get married in a beautiful setting and have a chilled out celebration. So, we opened our small, intimate wedding venue, fully licensed for weddings both in our Honeysuckle Hall and outside in the woods on Honeysuckle Lawn.

Honey is associated in pagan and medieval times with weddings, where the best time to harvest honey was in June when you had the honeymoon. Hence the term honeymoon. And as we have our own hives and bees, and make our own honey, it seemed fitting to name the wedding venue Honeysuckle! Honey is also used to make the drink mead which in medieval times was given to the newly-weds, as a wedding present, not only was it considered lucky but also an aphrodisiac!

We absolutely love the whole journey, from meeting couples, discussing their plans, helping with ideas and offering our experience from when we organised our own wedding. And then on the big day, to see the newly-weds and all their guests so happy it is just so wonderful and rewarding, that we have been a part of their special day!”
